  seems like such an obviously correct decision to overturn the previous overreach - it should never have been necessary to go to the supreme court but happened because the rights of the religious were being ignored.. as the fundamental level, no one should be able to compel you to work for them or to provide services that go against your beliefs, and certainly not have the government be able to force you to comply.. if this was allowed there would be so many unreconcilable situations that would clog up courts over nonsense.. i also have little patience for these activists that intentionally look to be offended.

  it really doesn't do their cause any good to go round looking to make trouble for people.

  Sadly, now a transgendered morphodite is claiming this same baker has discriminated against he-she-it because he turned down the job after the would-be "customer" told the baker in deail about the symbolism involved in the design of the celebratory confection.

  Those who claim that people in business have no right to refuse business are communist dupes, plain and simple.

  If one twist has the right to be a mutilated morphodite, then another twist has the right to be a silly Xtian.

  and kill every woman who has slept with a man, but save for yourselves every girl who has never slept with a man.” (numbers 31:17, 18).

  in the midst of killing and plundering, how were the israelites to determine whether each girl “has slept with a man” or not?.

  In my ever-humble opinion, the trademark phrase of a cheapskate suck-up!

  They may protest "well, it was the least I could do."

  I reply, "Yes, it certainly was. The VERY least. It is impossible to do anything less helpful to the bereaved while it makes YOU seem 'caring' and 'Spiritual.' You suck."

  That is why I frequently post that I will sing showtunes for the recently departed, to illustrate absurdity by being absurd.

  Rutherford's (note the spelling please, chillun) burial place may not be known -YET - but he had a physical body and was not seen goin' up yonder with Enoch, so his bones be somewhere, and I will bet money that a GPR survey of Beth Sarim/Shan would find the unknown body of a hastily-buried fat man somewhere on those grounds.

  the jehovah's witnesses believe that jesus christ and michael the archangel are the same person, and blatently ignore numerous verses and passages within scripture which explain that both jesus and michael are two separate persons.this video study (linked below) goes into the intricacies of hebrews chapters 1+2 explaining how the lord jesus and michael are different persons, and looks at the qualities, authority and power at which the lord jesus holds and how it is separate from angels including michael the archangel..

  Research help needed: knowledge of Knights Templar and Masonic history vital

  I would suggest that a good place to begin might be Wikipedia, but you've probably already looked there. The Wiki articles will provide links to other articles that will lead you right down the bunny hole.

  Let me also suggest you look into the idea that many of these places of power are found at the intersections of ley lines - a subject about which I know nothing.

  Screwed up sexually

  i was thinking about how the borg screws up and sexually neuters their flock by telling them when single to "deaden their body" and then boom as soon as there's a ring on the finger to not be denying eachother.. do any of you know of jws who have been screwed up by these teachings?

  i know 2, 1 elder came back from honeymoon having a nervous breakdown unable to cope with the cd that sex produced in his head.

  and the other called up her parents while on honeymoon, crying and begging for themto come and get her, since she was so shocked that sex hurt.

  Without god what is the basis of morality?

  i'm sure most here who've questioned or left behind their belief in god have encountered this question - without god, what basis can there be for morality?

  my exwife, when i admitted that i was an atheist, once asked me "if you don't believe in god, what's to stop you from going out and raping and murdering?

  " previously, whenever i got this objection, i would tend to turn it around on the other person with a response along the lines of "if fear of god is the only thing that stops you from murdering, that makes me rather nervous to be around you.

  time to revive this well known, and often used jw illustration!.

  "if you are in desperate need of a drink of water, and the glass in front of you is 99% clean, but contains just 1% poison, would you drink it??".

  how often we heard this trotted out from the platform.. recently though, i have heard many examples of still-in jws sharing their observations about things that don't seem quite right with the current activities, direction and culture of the organization.
